Vibration Trainer Reviews & Testimonials

Sophie Hales   -   2012 Olympic hopeful 20K distance walker

"Not only does the MYH Vibration Trainer help me with weight management, it helps with my core strength and stability which, particularly as an athlete, is essential.

Combined with its massaging effect for recovery, this makes the Mend Your Health vibration trainer a versatile and vital part of my training."

Beverley Kenyon  -   Derbyshire

"I've been using the vibration trainer for 6 months now and I want to thank you for a great bit of kit. I do about 20 minutes on it every morning, watching tv.

We live in the Peak District and my husband likes walking, but I always used to insist on avoiding hills. Now they no longer bother me because my legs are much stronger.

Also, last year I found that weeding the garden was really making my knees hurt, but this year it's no problem, because my legs are much more supple."

Kevin R   -   Glasgow

"I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mend Your Health Ltd on your excellent Vibration Trainer.

I received it on 7th April and I started using it that day. At the time I was 23st 7lbs and I am now down to 22st 3lbs, I feel 100% better in my well being and the relief from the pains in my legs is marvellous.

I feel that at 62 years I'm starting to get my life back!"

Jane P   -   London

"Really pleased with how quiet it is - my home was built in 1936 and sound travels very easily so at 5am I needed it quiet to not wake the neighbours! Also the movement is a much nicer sensation than the much more expensive one that we talked about.

So glad I bought it, couldn't be bothered spending 4.5 hours a week of my precious time going to a gym and that's not counting time actually spent in the gym. This way a full body workout in 15 minutes straight out of bed and you're done for the day. It doesn't get much better than that."

Mary W  -   Kent

"We ordered your Vibration Trainer on the 14th Jan, this year. Firstly, I'd like to let you know that both my husband and I are feeling the benefit of the trainer.

We both have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and already our legs are stronger. We would like to help spread the word amongst our fellow MS friends."

Matthew A   -   Carlisle

"We've had our vibration trainer for a while now and I have to say it's the best thing we've bought for ages. The whole family use it almost every day and already my wife says she feels much more supple - she has now started doing the full exercise program with it.

My daughters both use it before going to school and I usually do 20 minutes in the evening - it's in our lounge and we watch TV while exercising, and it really is as quiet as you claimed! Thank you.

Joan Lennon   -   Steyning Athletics Club

"I started using the vibration trainer in Jan 2008 after suffering a torn calf muscle last November. As a regular runner and triathlete I am used to a high work load and was frustrated at not being able to run.

The vibration trainer meant that I could exercise safely at home, (even slotting in sessions on it while cooking the dinner), and I definitely noticed the improvement in leg strength while I was recovering from the injury. I have come back to running with a strong base (unlike previous lay offs) and feel confident that I have kept leg strength, particularly in my quads, despite the break in run training.

My husband (a real sceptic) found that it was beneficial to him as a way of massaging his leg muscles after a strenuous cycle training session. Even my two teenage daughters (not known for their inclination to exercise) spend time using it and have noticed having firmer legs. Also, they think it is really fun !

David W   -   West Sussex

"My wife bought the vibration trainer as part of her latest regime to lose weight. I have to say that it gets used a lot and it has helped her to tone up and encouraged her to persist achieving a body shape she feels happier with.

I was sceptical  because as a  person who has always gone on runs, I believed in  there only being one route to getting physically sorted however when it arrived I found myself using it and what it has done for me is to increase my leg tone. I have noticed an improvement in my running, particularly on hills. It certainly has become a talking point with friends and family - everyone wants a go!"

Sophie T   -   London

"My local gym doesn't have any vibration trainers (they say they are noisy and costly) so I got one from Mend Your Health, because you said it was a quiet model - I didn't really believe it would be that quiet, but it has to go in our lounge so I wanted the quietest I could find - turns out I should have believed you, it's so quiet it never disturbs anyone!

When I started, I couldn't do the exercise where you sit cross-legged on the vibration platform but after a few weeks using the machine I'd gained enough flexibility to do it comfortably, it's definitely improving my muscle tone"

Monika Stryczko   -   Dublin, Ireland

"I know I've only had this machine a couple of weeks but I feel I must tell you how much it has helped me already.

Bit of background - cancer in 2005, chemotherapy in 2005, treated with drugs since then.
Sept 2007 developed tendonitis and lymph adenoma. I was aware my mobility was reducing and pain seemed to be increasing. I knew I didn't have cancer because I wasn't losing weight (my 2nd bout of cancer in 20 years, am familiar with it!!!!).

I joined curves (women only gym), it wasn't for me. It left me exhausted and sore. I used the lateral thigh trainer we have, with some small improvement in mobility, but it was painful to use. The longest exercise I could do, and I had to build up to this, was 7 mins on the lateral thigh trainer or a 6 minute walk before I was in pain.

I took delivery of your vibration trainer on 26th Sept. Within a week of using it just once a day on program 4, I was able to walk down the stairs like most people do and not have to think about it.

My stamina has improved, I can now do stuff like housework for a good 30 mins without feeling that I'm crumbling. I can now walk for nearly 10 mins without feeling pain.

This all gives me great hope for the future. I'm upping the sessions on the machine to 3 x program 6 a day and am excited that I will probably be dancing in the New Year, instead of sitting at the table feeling old, as I did last year."

Mark Potter   -   Extract from an article in Physio First's "In Touch" journal about the MYH Vibration Trainer

"Using a MyoTrac EMG Biofeedback System I taped the electrode over my VMO, adopted a flexed-knee "skiing" posture, calibrated the MyoTrac to zero activity and switched the vibration trainer on.  I was making the assumption that if the leg movement was passive there would be no increase in electrical activity in the VMO.

What I found was that the electrical activity in the VMO increased proportionately to the RPM of the vibration plates, indicating that I was being genuinely exercised.  Testing on other parts of the body demonstrated similar levels of muscle contraction - the glutei, hamstrings, gastrocnemius and erector spinatus were the areas I could reach easily!"
